In early 1981, Antigua was grip with Independence fever. A shared sense of excitement, optimism and endless possibility was palpable as the young nation prepared for self-rule. Chantale and Yves, expatriates from France, also felt the excitement and decided gave the young nation its first authentic French restaurant. The idea for Le Bistro was then born and the restaurant has since been inextricably linked to young nation of Antigua.
Over three decades have since passed; and like the nation of Antigua and Barbuda, Le Bistro has remained steadfast in the pursuit of excellence as recommended by Gourmet Magazine (1996 – 2010) and Caribbean Journal (2017). We delight in sharing with our loyal guest, the unique experience of French cuisine in a distinct Caribbean luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere.
Our promise to you is that you’ll experience a real sense of occasion and a heartfelt welcome with every visit. Upon entering the restaurant, be prepared to enjoy the elegant, tropical surroundings of the dining room and bar which are both irresistibly alluring and beautifully romantic.
Relax and enjoy a seamless dinner, complete with a supremely polished and personalized service from your host Philippa and the rest of the wait staff. It will be hard to choose from the medley of outstanding cuisine, but feel free to call on Ann, Tara, Tasea or Duke, they are ready to guide you and ensure that your evening is filled with French chic and Caribbean zest.
